CCI Launches Second High-Capacity Network in San Antonio, Texas

SAN ANTONIO, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2014) - Competitive Companies, Inc. "CCI" (OTCQB: CCOP) (OTCBB: CCOP), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Capaciti Networks, Inc., today announced the launch of its second high-capacity wireless network in San Antonio, Texas.

"The San Antonio wireless network launch is part of CCI's 2014 30 city roll out plan to deliver gigabyte Internet services to businesses and enterprise solutions," said William Gray, President/CEO of CCI. "Capaciti will be using the same millimeter wave and wireless technology in San Antonio that it operates in Columbus, Ohio and which helped Columbus be named to the Top 7 most intelligent cities in the world for two consecutive years."

The Capaciti network in Columbus is currently delivering record-breaking mobile download speeds of more than 125 Mbps to a smartphone and 200 Mbps for a laptop.

"Internet download speeds play a major part in what services you can provide on the Internet and high-capacity mobile networks are critical for enabling Intelligent city communications services such as first responders, carrier offload, smart metering and preparing cities to be more competitive in a global economy," states Angus Davis, Chief Strategy Officer for Capaciti Networks.

CCI's gigabyte network has also been designed to support "small cell networks," which are multiple wireless transmitters closely located to each other creating substantially increased download speeds to a large number of mobile subscribers. According to JDSU, a major research firm, 98% of carriers intend to utilize small cell sites to expand their mobile broadband services.

Wytec International, Inc., another CCI subsidiary and an owner of seven key foundational patents dealing in multi-channeling technology, has expanded its intellectual property for supporting small cell networks to be mounted on utility poles. Wytec will debut its small cell technology at the San Antonio Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) Global EXPO at the Grand Hyatt Convention Facilities on March 25th of 2014.

Wytec Submits Proposal to Homeland Security

Wytec Submits First Phase Proposal to the Department of Homeland Security

SAN ANTONIO, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 13, 2014) - Wytec International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Competitive Companies, Inc. (OTCBB: CCOP) (OTCQB: CCOP), today announced it has submitted a proposal to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program.

"Our successful network trials in Columbus, Ohio are strikingly similar to the DHS SBIR initiatives, which are about scalable network architectures and prototypes that allow first responders to connect via wearable technologies," said William H. Gray, President and CEO of Wytec. "We were approached by an internationally recognized research institute to pursue this opportunity because of our network scalability and throughput capabilities."

The institute's facilities provide proven research methodologies and testing facilities, and the institute has experience with product commercialization. These benefits complement Wytec's expertise with high-level network architectures, which are integral in the three-phase DHS program. Wytec's joint proposal includes standards definition, reference designs, compliance test models and a standards codification process for the integration of first responder wearable devices, vehicular devices, Land Mobile Radio ("LMR"), wireless data-offloading infrastructure and cellular infrastructure using smart phone and carrier-grade Wi-Fi data-offloading technology.

Phase I begins with a $100,000 grant for continued program design; Phase II awardees of the SBIR are awarded $750,000 to $1,000,000 for the successful testing of network prototypes. Wytec has included in its proposal its LPN-16 radio, which greatly enhances network scalability and small cell site location capabilities.

"After advancing to Phase III of the program, Wytec would be in a favorable contracting consideration with DHS, as well as with other U.S. government agencies needing similar communications requirements such as the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense," said Angus Davis, Chief Strategy Officer of Wytec International, Inc.
